Jam Packed at The Music Box

So, funny story... a few years ago I took a photo of a couple of guys at One Love Cali Reggae Fest up in Long Beach, CA. It was one of those random photos of a couple of random guys at a random moment in time. I didn't know who the people were, and hadn't come across them again.

Flash forward a couple of years, I'm walking through a local spot in Ocean Beach, and I see THE HAIR. I stopped, backed up a couple steps and took another look. This WAS the guy! I mean, these golden, poofy, curly locks were hard to mistake! 

Turns out - this is the guy AND he plays in a local band, Jam Packed. So, of course I had to check them out. I showed up to take some photos of this random guy's band on what happened to be his birthday, and boy am I glad I did.

What a fun night that was - including a mid-set birthday gift, crowd surfing, and a security guard taking over and singing (perfectly, might I add...) the most known Rage Against The Machine lyrics... "FUCK YOU, I WON'T DO WHAT YOU TELL ME!" Perfect.
