A Love Attack at Winstons - Small Axe & Equal Rights Band with Danny Dread

On Saturday, April 26, 2025, we embarked on a journey from Rhythm Ranch, down the mountain and all the way to the beach, to support some friends at Winstons Beach Club in OB (Ocean Beach, CA). In truth, it's been a couple of years for me, Sun Drenched Sue, to be out with my camera. Fighting Breast Cancer has been hard work, a lot of healing, and even more to process. I found myself not wanting to go out, talk to people, and especially shoot anything. I don't know that I could ever describe that feeling completely, but I'm sure I'll be trying to for the rest of my life. 

However, for the first time in two years, I actually wanted to shoot a show - and not just any show - because I wanted to support some friends that really showed up for me when I needed it the most. 

So I found myself back at my old stompin' grounds, with some old and new friends, sharing the vibes like old times, but with new eyes. 

Thank you to everyone who showed me some love last night.
