San Diego Bayfest 2021

On July 10, 2021, San Diego's first large music festival since pandemic shutdowns took place. It was hot and humid at the Waterfront Park, but that did not stop this event from being packed with music fans from all around. 

This event, hosted by the lovely Beebs Money, featured Dirty Heads, Sublime with Rome, Fortunate Youth, The Aggrolites, KBong, and DENM. Filling in those slots and keeping the energy high were a handful of local DJs, including DJ Scooter, DJ Unite, DJ Green T, and DJ Who.

It was wonderful seeing all the happy faces enjoying music in the San Diego sunshine. The bands were high energy and the crowd was ready for it. With the popularity that Dirty Heads gained during lockdown with their song, "Vacation," going viral, the night ended with what seemed like the entire crowd singing and dancing along, thankful for music, for the cool breeze, and for the relief of things feeling closer to "normal."
